I have 2 laptops and both run on a wireless router. One with vista that one works fine I can access ebay,hotmail, google with no problems trough the wireless connection. The other laptop runs winxp japanese and has a intel wireless card. I have Firefox and E-explorer. I turned off the firewall but still can’t login to ebay, hotmail, google… It has bee like that since I accesed the internet over the wifi connection with that computer. I can browse all sites fine but when trying to login it keeps loading and nothing happens on all these sites. I extra turned the firewall off, now if I ping ebay or hotmail trough cmd it gives me a request timeout other sites seem to work fine. It seems that I can browse all the sites fine put whenever a login comes it keeps loading. Like mentioned, the other computer works fine, no problems at all, so it must be an option on the 2 laptop the on with xp on it, the one where it does not work is a del xps with xp japanese on it with a intel wireless.

IE7
=======
Over time IE7 seems to set its own (or programs do) tick boxes in the advance tab.
In IE7 Tools >Internet Options >Advance Tab
Click Restore advance settings defaults
scroll the listings down to near the bottom then:
Tick empty temp files when browser closes (this empties the cache, which if not empty, will stop you from going online).
Bullet disable phishing filter (optional. Leave it on if you want that type of protection)
Delete Browser History, cookies, add ons, the whole lot regularly.
Close the browser to set the settings.
Check the cookie settings on the XP computer. If it is set to reject cookies, you will not be able to login to many places.
