I built a PC 4 months ago. I worked fine until 3 weeks ago. It keeps crashing when I run Windows Vista for a while (2, sometime 5-10 minutes.
- I replaced with new mother board, new RAM, new video card, new CPU separately. Still crashed.
- I unplugged hard disk and just boot my PC with WinXP [...]

Computer is an HP and has over 10 months warranty left. Windows Vista is loaded on it and need to transfer software key to [...] The computer must include WinXP, has to be able to ship to Canada, equal to or less than $800, minimum 2Gb Ram included (with the possibility to upgrade), and I prefer a minimum of a 2.4 Ghz processor. This started when the computer got its dsl (internet) connection. I have reason to believe that it is with the driver for the modem used (ZTE ZXDSL 831 series). Am I right? Since, it only happens when I am using the internet. Do I update the driver? What/How do I this? BTW, I am using Vista. [...] I have windows vista and I am trying to install an older version of xp which is 2002 but for some reason it says “Setup cannot continue because the version of Windows on your computer is newer than the version on the CD. |
